Confidential Utility Services Website – HubSpot CMS Development
Project Details
Project Name:
Confidential Utility Services Website – HubSpot CMS Development
Tech Use:
HubSpot CMS, HubDB, HubL, HTML5, SCSS / Sass, JavaScript, Custom HubSpot Modules
Overview
For this project, The Webplant collaborated with a marketing agency to implement a HubSpot CMS website for a utility services provider. The platform needed to present multiple service categories — including electric, fiber internet, phone, and propane — through a clear and intuitive user experience.
The website also required managing structured information such as service plans, locations, and resources while ensuring the platform remained easy for non-technical teams to update.
To support these requirements, a modular HubSpot theme was developed with reusable components and a structured HubDB architecture. This approach allowed dynamic data to be displayed across pages while maintaining consistent design and high performance.
Problem Statement
- Managing Multiple Service Categories
The website needed to clearly present several service types, each with its own pages, plans, and informational content. - Handling Structured Data
Content such as services, plans, locations, and resources required a system capable of managing structured datasets efficiently. - Maintaining Clear Navigation
Despite the complexity of the information, the platform needed to remain easy for users to explore. - Enabling Content Updates by Marketing Teams
The CMS structure needed to allow internal teams to update service information without developer support.
Implementation and Capabilities
Custom HubSpot Theme Development
A custom HubSpot theme was developed to translate the design system into a scalable CMS architecture while maintaining visual accuracy and responsiveness.
Modular Page Architecture
Reusable modules and flexible templates were created to support different page layouts including service pages, informational resources, and promotional sections.
HubDB Data Management
HubDB tables were implemented to manage structured datasets such as services, resources, and location-based information. This allowed dynamic content rendering across multiple pages.
Structured User Experience
Interactive layouts and structured content sections were designed to help users quickly explore different services and relevant information.
Responsive & Performance-Focused Development
The frontend was built using modern web standards to ensure fast performance and responsive behavior across desktop and mobile devices.
Impact
- Delivered a scalable HubSpot CMS platform capable of managing multiple service categories.
- Simplified content management through reusable modules and structured data architecture.
- Improved navigation and usability for users exploring service information.
